Sendero del Quetzal is a magnificent rainforest mountain trail full of unique flora and fauna. This 4 hour (one-way) hike connects the towns of Cerro Punta and Boquete and goes through the Baru Volcano National Park combining jungle hiking and tropical wildlife watching along with breathtaking sights of hanging bridges along the way. If you’re lucky you might spot the Resplendent Quetzal, a mythical and colorful bird that lives in the region. This trail is for experienced hikers and will most definitely be an adventure of epic proportions.
